Gemstones are mostly minerals with brilliance, color, durability, and rarity.

A olivine is a gem which comes from the silicate mineral. The chemical composition is ((Mg,Fe)2SiO4), and the crystal shape is orthorhombic. Olivine is found in St. John’s Island in the Red Sea, Burma, and the southwestern United States.

A topaz is a gem which comes from the aluminum silicate mineral. The chemical composition of it is Al2SiO4(F,OH)2), and the crystal shape is orthorhombic. Topazes are found in Australia, Brazil, Namibia, Nigeria, and Pakistan.

An emerald is a gem that comes from the mineral beryl. Emeralds are found in Colombia, India, Zimbabwe, Russia, and North Carolina in the United States.

A corundum is a mineral that sapphires and rubies come from. The chemical composition of the mineral corundum is (Al2O3) and the crystal shape is hexagonal.

A sapphire is a gem that comes from the corundum mineral. Sapphires are found in Thailand, Burma, Sri Lanka, Australia, and in Montana in the U.S.

A ruby is a gem that comes from the corundum mineral. Rubies are found in Burma, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka.
